The website and services operate under the brand Place of Consciousness.

2. What data we collect and why

Enquiries and communication (name, email address, message content)
Purpose: responding to your enquiry. Legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract or legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Retention: up to 2 years after our last communication.

Booking and delivering 1:1 sessions (name, email, phone, appointment time, session notes)
Purpose: providing the service. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Retention: [3 years] after your last session, unless the law requires otherwise.

Pre-session questionnaire and wellbeing information (this may include health data, which is a special category of personal data)
Purpose: preparing for the session and assessing whether the service is suitable for you. Legal basis: your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), given by ticking a separate box in the questionnaire. You may withdraw consent at any time. Retention: [until withdrawal, or at most 3 years after your last session].

Purchases of digital content (Journeys) and workshops (name, email, order details; card details are processed solely by Stripe and we have no access to them)
Purpose: completing your purchase, granting access, issuing invoices. Legal basis: performance of a contract and legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). Retention: invoices for 10 years after the end of the year of issue, as required by Slovenian law; other data until your account is closed.

Community on Mighty Networks (profile, posts, comments)
Purpose: running the private community for buyers. Legal basis: performance of a contract. Retention: until your account is deleted. The Mighty Networks privacy policy also applies to your profile and posts.

Newsletter (Letters) (name, email, email engagement data)
Purpose: sending content and offers. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe with one click in every email. Retention: until you unsubscribe.

Analytics and advertising (cookie data, IP address, browsing data)
Legal basis: your consent via the cookie banner. See our Cookie Policy for details.

3. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with processors who help us deliver our services, and only to the extent necessary:

4. Transfers outside the EU

Some processors (e.g. Stripe, Mighty Networks, Google, Meta) also process data in the United States. Transfers take place under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where the provider is certified, or under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

If you believe we are processing your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority competent for us is the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia (Informacijski pooblaščenec), Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia

6. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including SSL encryption, restricted access and password protection. Session notes and questionnaires are stored securely with access limited to MIGHTY.

7. Minors

Our services are intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version, with its last-updated date, is always published on this page.

2. Scope

These terms apply to the use of the website placeofconsciousness.com and to all purchases of Place of Consciousness services. By placing an order or making a booking, you confirm that you have read and accept these terms. Consumers also benefit from the mandatory consumer protection provisions of Slovenian law and of the laws of their country of residence, which these terms cannot limit.

3. Nature of the services – important notice

Place of Consciousness services (1:1 sessions, energy work, guided content, workshops and retreats) are intended for personal growth, relaxation and the exploration of consciousness.

They are not healthcare services and do not replace medical, psychological, psychotherapeutic or other professional help.
We do not diagnose, prescribe medication or advise on treatment.
Do not stop or change any treatment prescribed by your doctor.
If you have serious physical or mental health concerns, please consult a doctor first.
Results are personal and cannot be guaranteed. Testimonials from other participants are not a promise of the same experience.

You are responsible for your own use of the services. The provider is not liable for decisions you make on the basis of sessions or content.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in [EUR / USD] [including VAT / VAT not charged under Article 94(1) of the Slovenian VAT Act]. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. You will receive your invoice by email.

5. Formation of the contract

The contract is concluded when you receive an order or booking confirmation by email. The contract is stored electronically and is available to you on request. The contract is concluded in English.

6. 1:1 sessions

Duration: 45 minutes, online
Rescheduling or cancellation is free of charge up to [48] hours before the session.
For later cancellations or no-shows, the fee is non-refundable.
If we need to cancel a session, you will be offered a new appointment or a full refund.
Sessions are not recorded without the consent of both parties.

7. Digital content (Journeys)

After purchase, you get access to the content on the Mighty Networks platform. Access is for as long as the platform operates. The platform’s own terms also apply to its technical operation.

8. Workshops and retreats

Registration, payment and cancellation terms are stated with each offer.

9. Right of withdrawal (consumers)

Consumers may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of its conclusion without giving a reason. To withdraw, notify us at hello@placeofconsciousness.com. You may use the form below. We will refund your payment within 14 days using the same payment method you used.

Exceptions

Digital content (Journeys): The right of withdrawal ends once access to the content begins, provided you expressly agreed before purchase to immediate access and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal.

Services (1:1 sessions, workshops): If you expressly requested that the service begin within the withdrawal period and the service has been fully performed, the right of withdrawal ends. If you withdraw before the service is fully performed, you pay a proportionate amount for the part already provided.

10. Intellectual property

All content on the website and in the Journeys, including texts, recordings, audio, meditations, graphics and the Place of Consciousness brand, is protected by copyright and owned by the provider. Your purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use it for your own purposes. Sharing, copying, recording or reselling without written permission is not permitted.

11. Community guidelines

We expect respectful communication in our private community. We may remove content or revoke access for anyone who breaks these guidelines, insults others or shares unlawful content.

12. Liability

We strive for accurate content and uninterrupted operation of the site but are not liable for temporary unavailability due to technical reasons or third-party providers. These limitations do not apply where the law does not permit them, such as in cases of intent or gross negligence.

13. Complaints and dispute resolution

Send complaints to hello@placeofconsciousness.com. We will acknowledge receipt within 5 working days and respond within 8 working days. We aim to resolve all disputes amicably.

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia, and the competent court in Ljubljana has jurisdiction. Consumers retain the protection granted to them by the mandatory laws of their country of residence.

14. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms. The version published at the time you placed your order applies to that order.
